ACADEMIC COUNCIL
AIMS:
a. To identify, recognize and link persons involved in Indian
Diasporic studies and writings, and by identifying and linking
academic institutions actively engaged in such studies, as a
means of promoting and furthering Indian Diasporic studies and establishing a global
network beneficial to NRIs/PIOs.
b. To develop, maintain and enhance respective directory of academic institutions,
scholars, writers by category of works, and those who are the recipients of
internationally recognized awards for their respective work on the Indian Diaspora.
c. To plan, coordinate and hold conferences, seminars, symposia and forums on
issues related to the Indian Diaspora, both regional and international levels, including
global conferences on behalf of THE SANGAMFOUNDATION International as become
necessary.
d. To open “INDIAN SCHOOLS” for the NRI/PIOs globally.
e. To open schools in India and provide free education to the weaker section on the
society.
f. To recognize those among NRIs/PIOs/FOI academicians
who have made notable achievements and for their community service.
