NEW GROUND FOR Milan Cricket Club (MCC)

SATURDAY 4TH APRIL OPENING CEREMONY
Milan will finally have its own dedicated Cricket ground.
Thanks to efforts by several individuals, especially the Consul General of India, the President of Milan Cricket club, and help from Mayor of Settimo Milanese this dream is now a reality.

We invite all club members and the general public to be present for the opening ceremony between 1.00 and 3.00 p.m. on Saturday 4th April at the ground in
Settimo Milanese, Via Reiss Romoli (loc II Castelletto).

There are three teams participating Milan, Lodi and Euratom in a 15 overs tournament. There will be some Indian snacks and a few speeches, apart from the cricket game which will be going on. The Tata team unfortunately could not be managed.

Schedule of matches: 15 overs each

10.00 a.m. Lodi vs. Milano

12.00 noon Milano vs. Euratom

3.00 p.m. Euratom vs. Lodi

SHOW CASE OF CRICKET MATCH

7th June 2008 – Milan cricket club plays a local team in Castle ground. Not in the courtyard but a dedicated ground in Parco Sempione with one side of Castle wall as boundry. A 50 m diameter area will be earmarked. There will be commentary in Italian and all players will be in their whites.

Cricket will be played with TENNIS ball as there will be many paople around watching.

Time 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM
